Learn how to add a prayer counter on your device’s Home Screen so you can be reminded to pray!
Add a Prayer Counter to Your Device
In an effort to encourage each other in prayer and to motivate ourselves, we’ve created a prayer counter that allows us to count each prayer we pray and see a collective number of prayers prayed for Bosnia and Herzegovina. If you’d like to join us, you can add an icon on the device of your Home Screen to count any prayer your pray. And as a bonus, it acts as a reminder to pray for Bosnia!
Check out the instructions below for Apple or Android devices.
iPhone or iPad
- Launch Safari. (Other browsers, like Chrome, won’t work for this.)
- Go to https://pray4bosnia.com/prayer-counter
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don’t see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you’ll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.
- Type Pray4Bosnia (or whatever you would like to appear beneath the icon on your Home screen) and tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.
Your new “app” will appear in the next available space on your device’s Home screen.
To move it like you would any other app, tap and hold its icon, then tap Edit Home Screen, and you’ll be able to drag it to your desired location. When you’ve placed it where you want it, tap Done.
Android
- Open Chrome.
- Go to https://pray4bosnia.com/prayer-counter
- Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to Home screen.
- Type Pray4Bosnia (or whatever you would like to appear beneath the icon on your Home screen)
- Then tap Add
Your new “app” will appear in the next available space on your device’s Home screen. To move it like you would any other app
