30 Ways for Muslims to Encounter Christ

Today many Christians celebrate Easter: the resurrection of Jesus from the grave. Muslims deny this fact. “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). Pray for Muslims in Bosnia to be convicted of the reality that they are still in their sins and that only God Himself can provide a solution for that – the cross of Christ.

Praying Scripture

“The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.‘” Matthew 28:5-6

Thank Jesus for his sacrifice and the power of his resurrection. Praise Him that he is a God who empowers women, who chose to reveal the knowledge of His risen son first to a group of women. Would the beauty of this contrast from what many women are taught in Islam bring curiosity and hope to Bosniak Muslims this Ramadan.

Praying for the Church

Today, as many of Bosnia’s 400 or so Evangelical believers celebrate Easter, we pray for them to find encouragement and hope in remembering Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. “Hristos Voskrese! Voistina Voskrese!” Christ is risen! He’s risen, indeed! Halleluja!

Praying with the 5 Senses

This month, we want to encourage you to pray in new or unique ways as we lift the Bosniak people. Each day, we will be highlighting a way you can engage one of the “5 senses” to specifically pray for Bosnia.

HEARING
Bosnia is perhaps the only place on earth where, during certain times of the year, the Islamic Call to Prayer and Church Bells can be heard simultaneously. As you watch this short clip, pray against a spirit of simple tolerance. Pray instead that Bosnian Christians would seek true reconciliation, peace, and share boldly their faith. Pray that those from other faith backgrounds would be open to hearing about Jesus when they see how loving and peaceful the followers of Jesus around them are.

Claiming Our Hope in Christ and His Heart for the Nations

Jesus, we thank you for how the message of the cross is still relevant today, 2,000 years later. We ask that the transformational power of your Spirit would drive wedges into the kingdom of darkness, and allow your light to seep into every last human heart. As we remember your resurrection power, would our own hearts be softened towards how you are leading us to serve and grow in you. Amen!
