30 Ways for Muslims to Encounter Christ

Muslims believe that the Kur’an is the perfect and final revelation of God. Christians believe that Jesus is. “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature…” (Hebrews 1:1-4). Pray for Muslims in Bosnia to read the Gospels and see the contrast between the exact representation of God’s nature we see in Christ and what the Kur’an teaches.

Praying Scripture

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others” (2 Tim 2:2).

Ask for the grace of multiplication: May leaders make other leaders, and groups start other groups.
Ask for trustworthy men and women to be identified and entrusted with the gospel message.
Ask for the gift of reproducibility: in evangelism, in discipleship, and in church structures.

Praying for the Church

Pray that the church in Bosnia will be super clear: 1) that God wants to save the lost (through the Gospel) 2) that God wants the lost to become like Christ (through the church). Pray for churches to take seriously their role as the Bride of Christ and welcome new believers with open arms.

Praying with the 5 Senses

This month, we want to encourage you to pray in new or unique ways as we lift the Bosniak people. Each day, we will be highlighting a way you can engage one of the “5 senses” to specifically pray for Bosnia.

TOUCH
The Holy Book of Islam is the Kur’an, and Muslims are taught that the physical book itself must be treated with great respect. Kur’rans are set on special holders while read, kept safe in special cloths, and must never touch the ground. We encourage you to use your own physical Bible today (especially if you usually use a device!). As you turn and feel the pages, praise God that while all scripture is God-breathed, we are not bound to strict practices regarding ink and paper. Pray for Bosniak Muslims to find that same freedom in the Words of life.

Claiming Our Hope in Christ and His Heart for the Nations

Father, we pray that the peoples of Bosnia will learn to study the Bible, understand it, obey it, and share it quickly and boldly with others.

Lord, will you grant this nation the grace of multiplication: disciples who make disciples, groups that start groups, and churches that plant churches.
Ancient of Days, may your glory and fame spread throughout Bosnia – and the entire region – as followers of Jesus love God by obeying His commands.
Savior, may Your followers in Bosnia go to their near neighbors, bringing the life-changing presence, love, and power of God with them.
