30 Ways for Muslims to Encounter Christ

There are many teachings in Islam that advocate the use of the sword (killing) to advance their religion. The teachings of Jesus call us to surrender the sword to advance His Kingdom. Pray for Muslims in Bosnia to wrestle with this contrast and for their hearts to be softened to Christ.

Praying Scripture

“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Mat 18:18).

Pray that principalities and powers over Bosnia would be held back, broken, and thrown down as the name of Jesus is lifted high over this nation. May we declare prophetic words over Bosnia, releasing visions, dreams, signs, and wonders in Jesus’ name. And may followers of Jesus walk in the authority bestowed on them by Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension.

Praying for the Church

Pray that Christians in Bosnia will have a heart to start new churches among their friends and family. Would fear of societal or familial ramifications not hinder them, and would a spirit of evangelism be poured out throughout the church in Bosnia.

Praying with the 5 Senses

This month, we want to encourage you to pray in new or unique ways as we lift the Bosniak people. Each day, we will be highlighting a way you can engage one of the “5 senses” to specifically pray for Bosnia.

TASTE
Iftar meals vary across Bosnia, however, many have common traits. Especially in restaurants, which will offer set menus, limunada is served. This beverage is simply made of a freshly-squeezed lemon and water, and a spoon or two of sugar is added by the preference of the consumer. If you are able, try making limunada, and as you taste the sour-y sweetness, pray for those who are breaking their fasts with this drink. Would they come to know the sweetness of Christ!

Claiming Our Hope in Christ and His Heart for the Nations

May many people in Bosnia come to salvation and communities of believers be planted. We pray for disciples who make disciples and churches that plant churches. Lord Almighty, may generations of believers come to faith, covering the whole nation and touching all aspects of society: economic, political, social, ecological, and cultural.

“Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you” (2 Co 10:15-16).
